Since I waited so long to start a blog I will rewind back to when we found out we were pregnant and catch up to now. I found out I was pregnant on July 28, 2011. It was a Friday and we were going bowling with some friends. I was very grumpy that day, but I figured it was bacause I was about to start. I think I recall even throwing a broom at my husband because I was "so tired of sweeping all the time". Our friends Bonnie and Paul came to pick us up and Bonnie brought me a pregnancy test and insisted that I take it. So in the bathroom I went. I took the test and before I was even done going to the bathroom it had turned to a big plus sign! I called Bonnie to the back to get a second opinion and she said yes you are pregnant and we both started jumping up and down! We then rushed to figure out a way to tell Joe. Joe has his own bowling bag so I put the test in his bowling bag and before we left I asked him to put my lipgloss in the bag so I didnt have to bring my purse. When he opened the bag there was the test! Our friend Paul videoed it. Let me see if I can figure out how to put the video on here!
We were ecstatic to tell our family, so the next day we told his dad and stepmom by giving them a sweet little poem to read announcing the baby to come. We used the same poem the next day to tell his mom and stepdad. Joe videoed it, but unfortuantly he stopped videoing as soon as they were done reading it so we dont have their reaction! Don't worry he got a lecture on to the next stop! Next we went to my parents we had to go to a party first at my brother Kyles girlfriends house and then with a little help of Kyles girlfriend, Mallorie we finally got everyone to come back to my moms so we could tell them. Me and Joe had went out and bought bibs and took tshirts and pinned the bibs to them. I said that work was giving out a bunch of tshirts from past events and I just grabbed them each one. Of course Kyle being difficult said "I dont want anymore tshirts" and threw his! It all worked out though and their reaction was priceless.
Next we had to tell Joe's sister, niece, and nephew who you will probably see a lot on this blog because those two kids are like our own. Ever since they were babies they have spent so much time with us. Last New Years me and Joe even took them to Disneyworld. Anyways here is the video.
Last we told my Meamaw and Peapaw. I brought them the sonogram picture I had at 6 weeks, which just looked like a blob. Poor Meamaw had no earthly idea what it was, but said "well thank ya hunny that is so nice of you"! I then explained to her and she was so excited.
We told our friends by texting them all the collage picture that says we are having a baby that Paul made for us.
This is the most exciting time for us and we had a blast telling everyone about our special news!
